Eat Healthy Food

Eating healthy food is one of the easiest things you can do to improve your overall health. It’s also an easy thing to overlook when you’re busy with work, family, and other responsibilities. However, eating well will help you feel better physically, mentally, emotionally, and spiritually.

Exercise Regularly

If you want to stay fit, exercise regularly. For wellness health you should aim to exercise at least three times per week. This includes cardio exercises such as running, walking, swimming, biking, and dancing. Strength training is also essential. Try lifting weights, doing pushups, sit ups, squats, lunges, and pull ups.

Drink Plenty of Water

It’s easy to forget how much water we need. Most people only drink half of what they need each day. To make sure you’re getting enough, try drinking eight glasses of water every day.

Sleep Well

If you’re looking to improve your overall health, start with sleep. Getting adequate rest helps your body heal itself and recover from stress. You should aim for at least 8 hours of sleep per night.

Manage Stress

It’s also important to manage stress. This includes taking breaks throughout the day to relax and unwind. Try going outside for some fresh air or exercising.

Take Away

The most important thing you can do for your family is to take care of yourself first. While that may sound selfish to some. Wellness health is about you taking care of you as well as your family. Women tend to take care of everyone but themselves.

You have to take care of you to be able to be there for your family. Men also tend to become workaholics and neglect time to relax. Schedule time for yourself everyday 15 minutes to 30 minutes. Schedule a weekend together spending time doing fun activities both you and your family enjoy.

Welcome to my blog. I started this blog because of my passion for self-care and wellness. My name is Mary. I am a licensed Esthetician, certified Reiki practitioner/teacher and certified life and wellness coach. I started learning about herbs and alternative healing practices through my grandmother, who was a practicing herbalist and spiritual healer. During my infancy she would often treat me with herbal teas when I was sick. I learned a great deal from her. Throughout the years as a practicing healer with herbs, Reiki, meditation and other modalities I have found that the mind and emotions are the root cause of many diseases. I share in this blog what I have learned, practice and continue learning. So that you can benefit as much as I have. I am a single mother and currently a caregiver for my 98-year-old mother.
