How mushrooms are grown?
5 fantastic superfood mushrooms that will help improve you health are Chaga, Lion’s Mane, Reishi, Shitake, and Turkey Tail. Mushrooms grow mainly in the woods on bark of trees. But did you know you can also grown them? All you need is mushroom spawn and a five pound bag with proper substrate material.
Mushrooms are fungus that are grown from mushroom spawn which you can find and order online, on sites like Ebay or Amazon. Some varieties are harder to grow. The easiest mushrooms to grow are the Oyster Mushrooms.
Reishi Mushroom
Reishi or Ling Chi is a tough mushroom with a glossy exterior and bitter strong taste. It has been used for centuries in Asia. Reishi mushroom was found in a motif in China dating back to the Ming Dynasty.
This mushroom has been called The Mushroom of Immortality because of it’s claimed to cure cancer, heart disease, diabetes, arthritis, high altitude sickness, sexual impotency, and even chronic fatigue syndrome. This mushroom can be taken in capsules, powder, tea form and as a tincture extract.
Shitake Mushroom
Shitake is a native to East Asia. It is cultivated and consumed mostly in East Asia. You can find Shitake at most local grocery stores dehydrated and fresh in the produce department. Shitake is one of my favorite mushrooms to cook with and I find it compliments my meals. It can be cooked on pizza, added to a stir fry, soups or included in an egg omelet.

Turkey Tail Mushroom
Turkey Tail or Yun Zhi grows on dead logs in woodland areas. It is a multicolored mushroom. Native to tropical and subtropical areas. This mushroom has been used for centuries as natural medicine.
