Bathing or Showering with Unfiltered Water

Many of us do not consider bathing or showering in unfiltered water as having a negative impact on our skin. But it does and it also affects our health. First, let’s look at what is in unfiltered water.

Unfiltered water may have heavy metals, bacteria, pesticides, and chlorine. Chlorine can cause dry itchy skin and can cause health problems when inhaled. Taking a hot shower and inhaling chemical vapor can cause further problems for people with asthma.

Bathing in a tub doesn’t improve things either. Your skin is the largest organ in your body you take a hot bath or shower your pores open and your skin absorbs the chemicals in it.

Recently I moved and had to throw away my old filter. I thought I would be able to do without it for a few days till I bought a new one. On the first day, I noticed my scalp was itching and tight on the second day I noticed my skin was dry and itchy. It only got worse.

After my move to my new place. I had a sore back and wanted to soak in the tub with Epsom salt, but the thought of soaking in unfiltered water was discouraging. I tried it once and that night I was itchy and had a hard time sleeping.

How to dechlorinate the water.

I remembered from some previous searches for filters that I had come across how to dechlorinate bath water. And found Vitamin C Tablets. I was skeptical but purchased them and tried them right away. I used three tablets and soaked in my tub, and noticed my skin did feel softer and my scalp was not itching as much.

Now I needed to solve my shower problem again I searched for a good affordable filter and found this universal shower filter. It works well with my shower and it is easy to install.

Feel better about bathing and showering in filtered water. And don’t forget to drink filtered water as well.

Your health is everything.
